The Craft House is an independently run hotel and licensed bar. We are just a stone’s throw away from one of the most breathtaking views Plymouth has to offer, the beautiful Plymouth Sound – a stunning view you are likely to never forget!
Here, we do our very best to primarily source regional products including craft beers, ciders and spirits straight from their wizardry creators! As such, our drinks labels are likely to change, due to most of them being made in small batches, but this is all part of the fun of trying new things! : )

Our lovely team have extensive knowledge of the area and are on hand to help you make the most of your stay in Plymouth.
If you would like us to recommend or make a reservation for you at any of the delicious bars and restaurants within walking distance or short taxi drive from The Craft House, we will do our best to help.
We can also help you with:

If you arrive early before check in you are more than welcome to store your luggage at our reception while you explore the city or grab a drink in our bar. Parking permits are available at reception for £8 per day.
Some Important Info…
Stairs
The Craft House is a period property and there is no lift. The entrance is up eight stairs with no ramp. There are five floors inside and all the bedrooms are up at least one flight of stairs. If you have mobility concerns, please let us know before booking and we will do our best to give you our lowest available room. Please also note that our team are more than happy to help you with any luggage to and from your room, please don’t hesitate to ask at reception or in the Craft Bar, we’re happy to help.
Parking
We have all-day parking permits available to purchase at reception for £8 per day. These are valid until 10am the following day. There is on-street parking subject to availability, outside the front of the hotel and in the near vicinity.
Bikes
Exploring Plymouth by bike? At The Craft House we are bike friendly and will accommodate your bike in The Craft Bar, which is covered by CCTV and is securely locked every evening.

Built in 1879
The Craft House has been lovingly refurbished, whilst retaining many original features to highlight the impressive traditional craftsmanship of its day… these are really quite special and provided us with the inspiration for our hotel’s name.
At the Craft House we hope to inspire our guests and visitors by celebrating many of the exciting and talented local craftspeople, and their workshops, in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. There is a whole host of crafts and experiences available, including glassmaking, willow-weaving, ceramics, metalwork, foraging, baking, cocktail making, haberdashery and many, many more.
