Our Chief of Morale 

The Craft House is home to our chief of morale, a very affectionate Scottish terrier named Twigs. You will more than likely see her during your stay, she is not involved in the cleaning of rooms and the cooking/serving of breakfasts however she makes a common appearance at reception and in the bar. 

Pets

Although we are animal lovers and adore the chief of morale, at this time The Craft House is not accepting pets. 

Children 

At The Craft House we regret that we are unable to cater for children under the age of 14 years of age. 

Occupancy

We would like you to note that all our double rooms are reserved for single or double occupancy only. We reserve the right to charge for any extra guests found to be in breach of this occupancy rule which will be charged upon check out. 

Guest Register

Please note that we are legally required to take all of our guest’s full names and nationality on check in to comply with Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972. For all who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth guests we are further required to take passport numbers, place of issue and details of their next destination if known on or before departure. This information will be securely held for 12 months. 

Under 18s

Please note that due to legal requirements anybody under the age of 18 cannot book a room themselves and therefore must have a parent, guardian or another adult make the booking and as such accept responsibility on their behalf.Any children staying at The Craft House must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We do not allow children to be left in bedrooms alone.

Large Bookings: Hen/stag/party policy

When booking for six or more people different terms and conditions may apply. Please get in touch at the time of booking to avoid any issues. 

We reserve the right to refuse a large party that has not been made known to us at time of booking. We don’t want to be party poopers and we will do our best to accommodate you, however this is so we can ensure the comfort of all our guests. 

Stairs

Due to The Craft House being a period property there is no lift. The entrance is up eight stairs with no ramp. There are five floors inside, and all the bedrooms are up at least one flight of stairs. If you have mobility concerns, please let us know before booking as we will do our best to give you our lowest available room. Please also note that our team are more than happy to help you with any luggage to and from your room, please don’t hesitate to ask at reception or in the craft bar, we’re happy to help. 

Parking

We have all-day parking permits available to purchase at reception for £8 per day. These are valid until 10am the following day. There is on-street parking subject to availability, outside the front of the hotel and in the near vicinity. 

Bikes

At The Craft House we are bike friendly and will accommodate your bike in The Craft Bar which is covered by CCTV and gets locked every evening.

Payment methods

We accept all major credit cards at The Craft House and reserve the right to preauthorise cards. 

At The Craft House we are unable to accept cheques as a method of payment. 

Cancellation Policy

Rooms booked at The Craft House are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy before 3pm on the day of arrival. The Craft House reserves the right to charge all rooms cancelled outside of this time in full with the card details provided on booking. It is worth noting that any external booking sites such as booking.com have their own refund policies in place and we advise all guests to check these prior to booking. 

Luggage 

At reception we are happy to safely store luggage before check in and after check out so that guests are able to freely explore Plymouth.  

Smoking Policy

At The Craft House we have zero tolerance towards any guest found to have smoked in any of our rooms throughout the building. Guests who wish to smoke may do so outside the front of the building in the allocated smoking area which is to the side of the stairs accessed through a small gate where a cigarette bin can be located. Any guest found to have smoked inside The Craft House will be asked to leave immediately without refund. Any cleaning fees and a day/nights loss of business due to airing the room before being able to re-let to another guest will be charged to the card used when booking. 

Damage

The Craft House reserves the right to charge guests for the cost of any damage caused by any deliberate or negligent actions caused during their stay. We also reserve the right to charge for any missing items. 

Lost Keys/Fobs

There will be a £45 charge for loss of keys as this will cover the change of lock, cost of a new key, cost of door entry fob. 

Lost Property

At The Craft House we will do our best to return all lost property to the guest subject to cost of postage. If lost property is not claimed within 2 weeks, we reserve the right to donate it to charity or dispose of it.
